Our experiences began in 1990 when, following the decision made by our family elders, we planned the investment in a five-star thermal hotel in the Ömer-Gecek thermal region of Afyonkarahisar. When we moved to the investment phase, we sought assistance from Akdeniz University to assess the feasibility of greenhouse farming in parallel with this investment. During this process, measurements were taken regarding the sunshine duration and solar radiation in the Afyonkarahisar region, which determined that it has more sunshine days compared to the Antalya region.

 

In the 1990s, during the first private sector investment in a five-star thermal hotel, it was planned to use geothermal fluids for the hotel heating. Additionally, it was considered to provide greenhouse heating through the recycling of geothermal fluids. However, due to the investment being realized in different phases from 1990 to 2000, the greenhouse farming activity was postponed to a later date.

Between 2000 and 2012, while our company provided operational support to thermal facilities across the country, we also conducted research in greenhouse farming in response to requests from valuable business partners and investors. By presenting necessary feasibility studies to investors, we expanded our knowledge in this field. Additionally, we offered consultancy services regarding geothermal resources to greenhouse operators and Turgutlu Municipality in the Turgutlu region of Manisa. During this period, we also enhanced our experience in soilless greenhouse farming with the relevant greenhouse operators.

In 2013, a greenhouse facility covering 40,000 m² was planned in an area with a geothermal license in the Çifteler region of Eskişehir. As the first phase of this project, approximately 22,000 m² was brought into operation and served the investor between 2017 and 2018.

Our current greenhouse operates in Afyonkarahisar with a fully automated soilless production area of 25,000 m². In September 2020, we began production under a contract farming model developed in line with the government's policies of the time, and since 2022, we have continued production and sales activities under the NET brand.

As part of our business policy, we place great value on agricultural faculty and vocational high school students and support internship programs for them. Additionally, our company provides support services related to production coordination and other operational stages to newly established or not yet operational businesses both domestically and internationally, with a professional engineering team.
